Eligibility
Anyone who has worked in academia in the IT sector for the majority of
the previous 10 years.
Criteria
Notable achievements, such as
. Public contributions to the IT community
. Breadth of contribution to academia
. Leadership in development of IT in Australia &/or New Zealand
. Academic or corporate success
. Community service including service to CORE and/or ACS
A successful candidate would have demonstrated excellence and
commitment, and have a track record that is more diverse than just
achievement in a particular career.
Nomination
Nominations for the 2011 award is by
submission to the 2011 committee chair. Details will be posted
here when available.
and should consist of a statement up to 5 pages outlining the grounds
on
which the prize might be awarded. The 2009 committee consisted of
Professors Gopal Gupta, Leon Sterling and Karl Reed.
Selection
The prize will be awarded every two years at ACSW. The next award will
be in 2011at ACSW.
